My Story

In 2021, I bought my own home and embarked on the joyous journey of home improvement. My young son has a mechanical mind like me. Together we regularly read through home improvement manuals and he loves having me explain the diagrams. He has a zillion questions. Daddy, how does a hot water heater deliver water through the pipes? How do you install light fixtures? How does a BBQ go together and where does the gas go? How do you build a house? Why are there so many wires inside a house? How do these tools work?

This was where The HandyDad business was born! It is the perfect marriage of my background in art, learning, building, customer service and a passion I share with my son.

As a full time at-home Dad, working as an independent handyman provides me the freedom to take care of a young child and also utilize a lifetime of creative and mechanical skills. To the world of trades and home maintenance I bring nearly two decades of customer service skills and a passion for learning how to do the job right!
